Treatments Used in Conjunction with Phototherapy

Although phototherapy alone can do amazing things for skin conditions, usually there will be a treatment recommended with phototherapy. There are five types of phototherapy treatments we see normally:
1. Phototherapy just alone
2. Phototherapy with a moisturizer applied after, such as Hydrophilic or Aquaphilic
3. Phototherapy with a steroin cream applied after, such as taclonex
4. Phototherapy with a biologic treatment (rare)
5. Phototherapy with an LCD (tar) skin cream applied afterwards

Of these, we have seen all work well. The general idea is that skin conditions such as psoriasis need something to ensure the skin continues to heal and not dry out. Numbers 2, 3, and 5 all do this.
