The Daavlin Dermapal unit is one of the most affordable, compact units on the market. We feel it is terrific, as it can easily be used for spot treatment. Not everyone has Psoriasis or Vitiligo covering their whole body… So often just the ability to treat a specific area is very useful. Contact us at the link on this page above to learn more. Either a Daavlin representative will email or call you, after you contact us.

Here are some common FAQs, or frequently asked questions, that we hear about phototherapy. Provided below each question is our answer.
How do I know if phototherapy is for me?
Although phototherapy works for many people, it doesn’t work for all. It is best to talk with your dermatologist to see if phototherapy may work for you.
How often would I have phototherapy done?
It may me once a week up to five times a week. The exact information would be up to your doctor.
Is it better for me to get home phototherapy or go to a doctor office?
Ether can work. Many people go with home phototherapy for convenience, such as to save money on gas, time, copays, etc.
Will insurance cover my phototherapy unit cost?
Usually insurance covers most or all of the cost. If course there are some exceptions.

Here are some helpful tips for phototherapy bulbs.
1. Do not touch the bulbs without gloves. Oils from the skin can shorten their life.
2. Don’t accidentally bump the bulbs. They can break or it can loosen the fixtures.
3. Don’t turn them on over and over in a short period. That can be hard on the electronics.
