When looking into purchasing phototherapy equipment, there is more to think about than just these five items that come to our minds:
Do you buy from Daavlin or another company?
Do you get a spot treatment phototherapy unit, panel unit, or full body unit?
Do you get broadband, UVB, other?
Does insurance cover your unit?
How will I use the phototherapy machine?
Most importantly it is helpful in our experience to think about cohesive treatment for your future. It really is a pairing between you, your doctor, and anything you have read in books, online, and learned from people. To figure out your skin care treatment, it probably won’t be as easy as just do this and it gets better. For example, if you choose phototherapy:
Phototherapy treatment does take time to work
Phototherapy treatment may not work on its own, needing some prescription/s as well
Phototherapy treatment does need to be monitored over time for impact, and this care will vary depending on your doctor, nurse, and their experience
Essentially, we feel it is important to look out for yourself first. This means we feel working closely with your doctor is important, but also that the whole time looking out for oneself with research can be useful. For example, this Website has a lot of interesting information to learn about Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Eczema, Phototherapy, and more. You can learn here more about Psoriasis treatment. You can read more here on Daavlin.net by exploring our categories at the right.

At least 50% of psoriasis patients have scalp psoriasis. Scalp psoriasis is often difficult to treat since it may be hidden by hair. Some people try to hide it. This can mean it gets worse and worse, often worse than psoriasis on other areas of the body.
Biologic treatments may help, but there are always major dangers of side effects.
Phototherapy can be very useful, with either a spot treatment unit such as the Dermapal, or a larger unit. Click the link below to see various Daavlin phototherapy units at PhototherapyStore.com.

Of course one thing is to hear that phototherapy is safe. Another is to have proof. We have personally known a large number of people who have used phototherapy for a long time with no issues. In fact, we don’t know any patients who have had complications from, or skin cancer from phototherapy. Some patients who still use phototherapy for their psoriasis are now elderly, having used it for a very long time. One gentleman who spoke last week about his treatment mentioned that he has now done phototherapy for 40 years. He looks great! As they say, the proof is in the pudding. It is terrific to get to know patients who have used phototherapy for such long periods of time with outstanding results. It makes us feel great that we can help psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo patients with such a safe, effective, affordable treatment.

Phototherapy can help many people with Psoriasis, Vitiligo, and a number of other skin diseases. Phototherapy delivers rays of light that trigger healing in the skin. Narrowband UV phototherapy is the most effective, delivering specific wavelengths of light that are very targeted. Broadband phototherapy delivers a wider spectrum.
Generally phototherapy treatment will be every day for many patients until the skin is at a point where it has healed enough. After that, it may be done every other day. This all depends on advice from a doctor and careful tracking of one’s condition.
